Health & Safety - FAQWhat medical forms do I need to submit to AMIGOS? You will need to submit the AMIGOS Confidential Physical Health Form which must be completed by a primary care provider, a copy of your volunteer's immunization record and COVID card, and the Health Update form. If your volunteer is currently seeing or has seen a mental health professional in the last year, you will also need to submit the Confidential Mental Health Form for each treating clinician (psychologist, psychiatrist, counselor, etc).

Rabies Pre-Exposure Vaccination Series - FAQWhat is the rabies pre-exposure vaccine series? The rabies pre-exposure vaccine is a 2-dose vaccination series meant to protect individuals who have not yet been exposed to rabies but may be at increased risk. Why is the rabies pre-exposure vaccine series useful? It is not a cure for rabies nor does it mean that you will not need further vaccinations after any exposure. However, if you are exposed, you will have more time to seek treatment and you will need fewer post-exposure vaccinations.

COVID-19 & AMIGOS Programs - FAQWill you require the COVID-19 vaccine for 2023 Summer Programs? Yes. All volunteers based in the United States are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in advance of joining an in-person AMIGOS program. Volunteers are required to show proof of vaccination status, including a complete primary series and bivalent booster. Can a volunteer request an exemption from the COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement? In consultation with our Medical Director and based on CDC recommendations, we currently require that all volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate in summer programming.

Technology PolicyAMIGOS believes in the extraordinary power of human connection to build communities. As humans, we are wired for connection and social interaction. Through our relationships and interactions, we discover more about ourselves. Part of the AMIGOS experience is developing powerful personal coping skills, making lifelong friendships, and learning the skills to become better communicators and facilitators. Youth are digitized out and will greatly benefit from the opportunity to be fully present to engage more deeply with themselves and their surroundings.
